Special Sauce is our own custom build Modpack built for Modded 1.10.2 Minecraft. It is lauched via the Technic Launcher. The plan was to make the pack have something for everyone like a "kitchen sink" pack, but still light enough for as many people as possible to be able to run on their systems so we made a "bathroom sink" modpack. Something for everyone, but still lightweight.
The primary concept of this server is to be Economy Driven! This means certain items have had their crafting recipes removed and are only available for purchase in game from the server market or from other players (some of the items have recipes to allow more to be made once you buy 1 so you can make more to sell at your own store.
We are also encouraging town building. There is a central city which players may build in or players can form and build their own towns in the map. While building in a town is encouraged, players are free to build in the wilderness if they wish.
Since the server goal is to be economy driven, the most common question is "How do I make money?". There is a few ways to make money on here. 1. Farm or Mine ores and sell items to the server market. 2. Setup your own shop and sell items to other players. 3. Participate in community events when held. 4. Lead or Join a Project Team for builds contracted out by the city. 5. Get hired and perform the functions for a City Employee job. 6. Take a chance and play the lottery! You can use "/lottery buy #" (replace # with how many tickets you want). Tickets are $25 each. Other ways may be added in the future, but for now, this is a start.
All standard Adultcraft Rules apply
Do not modify the roads, sidewalks, or grass areas between them.
You may build in a town plot or out in the wild. If you choose to not build in town, you MUST be at least 600 blocks from the edge of the city (yes we know, the city is growing, but if you go out that far from the edge at the time you do it, we can plan around that as we expand). Any "wild" builds found within that distance are subject to removal without warning and items WILL NOT be replaced.
Building in any world other than the overworld is DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. All dimensions aside from the overworld are subject to being reset at any time without warning and items lost in them will not be replaced. This is an automatic process every few weeks to keep them fresh so warnings will not be provided.
There is a public smelter at spawn to use until you can build your own. Do not leave materials in the smelter when you are done. Do not modify this smelter (timers, changing tables/basins, etc...)
If there is no empty plots but you want to build in town, contact Resq, Jugs, EternalLED, or Noctleigh for assistance. We will be happy to extend the road and mark off a plot for you.
Claim your land! Do not claim massive areas that you do not need though. You may expand your claim as needed (if space allows).
Claims are only permitted in the Overworld. Do not claim your portal area or any generated structure in the Nether. If you are concerned about people returning through your Nether Portal into your overworld base, you can close in a room around the portal IN THE OVERWORLD and put a door there which will protect the rest of your base via GriefPrevention as it will be in the claim you should have there.
All Non-Vanilla Mob setups (an player built or modified setup to capture and/or kill mobs, hostile or passive) must be attended while in operation. Any Unattended Mob setup is subject to immediate removal without warning and items will not be replaced. Also, a strict limit of 1 active mob spawner per chunk. (WOOT spawners may have 2 per chunk)
There is also a maximum of 12 mobs (combined passive, hostile, and NPC) per chunk and maximum of 40 per 2x2 chunk area.
DEMON VILLAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE OVERWORLD! They may only be created in the Mining World. Keep in mind though, the mining world is subject to being reset at anytime without notice and items lost there in a reset will not be replaced.
These rules are subject to modification at anytime without warning.
To install the modpack, use the guide on the left (will be updated soon but at the moment, it will get you close. The main difference is the modpack name is now "AC Special Sauce 1-10-2".
