To play SkyFactory 3, you will need the Curse/Twitch App from http://app.twitch.tv (choose Download, not Launch in Browser). Once installed, on the left side, there will be a button for Minecraft. It may need to do some install to integrate it with Minecraft but once it is ready then under the Minecraft tab, there will be buttons in the upper right. Chose Browse FTB Modpacks and search for "FTB Presents SkyFactory 3".We are running SkyFactory 3, Version 3.0.15
Once it is installed, you can click the button labeled "Play" to open the MC Launcher. Once the launcher opens, check the bottom and make sure it is starting the SkyFactory installation and NOT the Use Latest.. Click to start the game like normal and once loaded, click Multiplayer. The server address is 22.214.171.124:25575
No hoarding of spawners only take/claim what you are actually going to use.
Mob farms using spawners to have maximum of 2 spawners per farm / chunk. (due to the speed of the Tier3 Stablized Spawner (Draconic Evolution) please limit these to 1 spawner per farm/chunk). No player created RFTools Dimensions allowed!
Chunkloaders provided by mods in the pack (chicken chunks, etc...). We will be adding BetterChunkLoaders soon (the more that ask for it, the longer it will take me to add it)
ExtraUtils2 Mechanical Users are temporarily banned until we can get them resolved. (existing ones in the map have been removed).
EnderIO Farming Stations have been banned due to crash issues. If you have one, please destroy it!
Mob Limits! There is THREE aspects that affect Mob Spawning/Despawning. Two of these aspects are manageable by individual players. 1. Mobs per island (as managed by SkyClaims) a. Max Passive mobs per island - 50 b. Max Hostile mobs per island - 50 c. Max TOTAL mobs per island - 85
2. Max mobs per chunk (passive and hostile combined as managed by ClearLag) - 15
3. The third aspect cannot be managed by individual players. This is max mobs on the server. a. When there is over 500 Hostile mobs detected in the ClearLag scans (60 seconds before, 30 seconds, and when it runs) ClearLag will remove most, if not all the hostile mobs during the ground item clearing. b. When there is over 700 Passive mobs detected in the ClearLag scans, ClearLag will remove excess mobs during the ground item clearing. ClearLag takes into account a few factors such as tamed/untamed animals (for the ones that apply). Age of the animal. Player proximity. If the animal is Owned (named via a nametag). b1. Owned and Tamed animals are TYPICALLY not removed unless mob counts are starting to cause lag issues. b2. Animals that spend most of their time around players are safer than animals that are not around players. (As in ClearLag tries to remove wild animals first, then if there is still an excess, it will remove animals that are around players). b3. As part of the "near player" check, clearlag looks to see if animals are near fences. If fences are detected, it considers them player livestock basically and will try to not remove them unless total mob limits for it to remove them, and then it goes by age. Oldest tends to get removed first, but there is also some randomness to it.
NAMING YOUR ANIMALS WILL GIVE THEM THE MOST PROTECTION FROM CLEARLAG. This however is not 100%. If mob counts get high enough, no mob is completely safe ever!!
Do not chunkload Void Miners/Quantum Quarries. These may only be used when you are there to attend to them as they do cause lag.
